Bev Schmal was born in Northern England way too many years ago in a beautiful national park (the Lake District). She is the youngest of 2 children; her older sister lives in Scotland.

Always the adventurer, Bev was given the opportunity to travel as a teen to the U.S.; she knew one day she would end up living there. A bumpy start led her to Canada first where she lived for 20 years, mostly in the Toronto area, one of the most diverse cities in the world.

An avid runner, Bev has competed in and completed many races that ranged in distance from 3 miles to 50 miles. She was recuperating from running a marathon with friends in New Orleans when she met her future husband, Ray.

Moving from Toronto to the desert of Mesa, AZ was quite a shock, not only from the desert landscape but also the heat; and yes it is a dry heat!

After living in AZ for over 10 years, it came time to move back east, and with the assistance of relocation services within the company that she works for – Dell PerotSystems – she moved to Warwick, RI where she resides today.

Active in her community through various events at work, Bev is an avid supporter of the American Heart Association Heart Walk, volunteers at Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, participates in the American Lung Association Stair Climb events, and organizes many fund raising drives at work.

Bev first got to know Dr. Tim as his chiropractic patient, and then as a friend to both he and his wife, Shannon. She whole heartedly supports NL and is committed to helping make Nature’s Lather^tm a success.

She is very happy that David has made the journey to RI from AZ to join in this exciting venture with Tim.

Most days, you can meet Bev and say hi as she runs with her dog – Wylie Coyote – in City Park.
